Video for factories and production floors

Manufacturing plants, assembly lines, plant-plus-warehouse sites, clean or high-noise halls, multi-site groups. The floor has to watch the door, line discipline and occupational safety at once. Night shifts are thin. Restricted machines, leaving a post, skipping the SOP — a walk-round misses them. Cameras and AI are set separately for the line, warehouse aisles and office doors. Most existing HD cameras can be assessed first. You do not have to swap the whole plant in one go.

Three directions the floor actually needs

A plant still has to cover the night-shift record, safety and no-go zones, plus quality review and multi-site oversight.

EkgBz

Night shift and handoverOne line can run two or three shifts. The supervisor on duty cannot watch it as one picture. After a dispute or a stop, you need a trail.

Safety and no-go zonesNo PPE, standing too close to a live machine, leaving a post for too long. After an accident the company has to show a process and a picture.

Quality review and multi-siteWhether the SOP was followed, whether incoming or finished goods look off — one plant can still talk it through. With several plants, head office cannot review one picture.

Functions you can switch on line by line

Main gate, clock-in, both sides of the line, machine no-go zones, finished-goods aisles and electrical rooms.

All-day plant recording and maintenance

3W4CH
Pain: Oil mist on the lens, vibration knocks it off aim, or the disk fills — a whole shift has no picture.
How: Archive by shift. Push named events to the supervisor on duty. Control-room screens plus remote login, with lens cleaning, NVR checks and emergency repair.
Where: Plant gate, car-park link, main shop-floor aisles, loading dock.

Face attendance

Pain: Buddy punching, tailgating. Payroll and the door list do not match.
How: Doors match faces to the staff list. Unknown or watch-list people raise an alert. Can link to turnstiles or access control, so fewer cards go missing.
Where: Staff passages, the office–shop boundary, visitor desk.

Leaving a post

Pain: A key station sits empty. You only notice after a stop or a pile of incoming work.
How: Set how long a station may be empty. Over that, the line leader is told. Tuned with the shift roster so rest breaks do not flood alerts.
Where: Packing lines, inspection benches, control rooms, boiler or compressor watch posts.

Crowds and clashes

CBlCQ
Pain: A shove or an unusual crowd outside the rest area or changing-room passage. Whoever is on duty is not always there.
How: Flags a long gathering or a fight so a supervisor can step in.
Where: Canteen passages, around rest areas, outside changing rooms. Do not put cameras in changing rooms or toilets.

Restricted work zones

20BFX
Pain: Around a machine under repair or still running, an unauthorised person is only stopped when they are already too close.
How: A virtual fence. Entry to the no-go zone raises an alarm, so someone does not have to stare at the machine.
Where: Around press / cutting stations, electrical rooms, chemical-store doors, rooftop plant rooms.

SOP rules on the process

FRUFf
Pain: Standard work is checked by sample. Line to line and shift to shift do not match. Quality review has no picture.
How: AI rules written for your process — a named action done or not, PPE in place or not. Clips filed by work order or shift for internal review. What can actually be detected is set on a site trial.
Where: Assembly stations, inspection stations, the end of packing.

PPE and hazardous movement

AET6d
Pain: Helmets, goggles and gloves rely on a walk-round. Night shifts miss more.
How: Can flag missing PPE, standing too close to live plant, or a suspected fall, and tell whoever is on duty.
Where: Shop-floor doors, high-noise zones, where forklifts and people cross.

Forklift aisles and material flow

fbvT9
Pain: Forklifts, trolleys and people share one aisle. After a knock, each side has a different story.
How: Watch aisle occupancy and overstep together. Clips filed by shift for internal review. This does not replace statutory safety devices.
Where: Raw-store aisles, line-side stores, loading docks.

Hot boards, fire and leak support

3HPiv
Pain: Electrical rooms, spray or solvent areas — smoke or a temperature spike is found late.
How: Video support for smoke and flame. Electrical rooms can take thermal to show heat. Statutory gas and fire kit still has to meet the plant code on its own.
Where: Electrical rooms, compressor rooms, around spray booths, pump rooms.

Multi-plant CMS / VMS

PjC3c
Pain: Each plant runs its own system. Quality or safety cannot review from one place.
How: One platform for every plant. Phone or a head-office wall shows alarms and playback.
Where: Groups with more than one plant, a plant plus a warehouse, a plant plus offices.

Instalments and maintenance

Pain: A one-off capital vote for the whole plant is hard to get. Old lines are more often rebuilt in stages.
How: 12 / 24 / 36-month instalments. Can sit with maintenance and a short cloud loop in one figure. Cover the main gate and high-risk machines first, then grow the line.
Where: A new plant opening, old systems replaced in stages, extra lines.

Questions plants ask

If the floor uses face recognition, how is staff privacy handled?

Use it on doors and shared passages. Do not put cameras in changing rooms, showers or inside rest rooms. We advise audio or silent by zone, and help the plant write the internal note.

Do SOP rules work out of the box?

No. Rules are set after a trial on your process, camera angle and lighting. The quote states the trial scope separately.

Must every old camera be replaced?

Not usually. We first check whether resolution and angle are enough for AI. The main gate and machine no-go zones come first; the line can be added in stages.

Will “leaving a post” also flag a legitimate break?

We tune acceptable time by station and shift roster, and can add a human check.

Does thermal replace electrical inspection?

No. It only shows heat as a support picture. Periodic electrical checks still follow plant rules.

Can several plants share one app?

Yes. We can look at a CMS / VMS with head-office and plant rights kept apart.

Ask about factories and production floors

For line SOP, leaving a post, face attendance or machine no-go zones, we can walk the floor. Tell us the plant type, the camera brands already there, and which station you want handled first.
